Twitter went too far insulting President of Nigeria – Actor Yemi Solade

Nollywood actor, Yemi Solade has stated that the federal government of Nigeria made the right decision suspending the operations of Twitter in Nigeria.

The federal government announced the suspension of Twitter a few days ago through the office of the federal ministry of information and culture and the suspension has since been enforced.

Yemi Solade who spoke with Goldmyne TV at an event, reacted to the Twitter suspension by condemning the social networking service.

The veteran actor believes the federal government did the right thing by suspending Twitter.

“Twitter went too far insulting the president of Nigeria. By insulting the president, they have also insulted the 200 million people he is leading,’‘ he said.

Solade also explained that people’s activities on the platform need to be monitored.
