Trevor Noah nominated for Grammy Award

Trevor Noah has also been nominated for a Grammy Award!

He was nominated for his stand-up special ‘Trevor Noah: Son of Patricia’ and will be up against the likes of talk show host giant Ellen DeGeneres as well as Dave Chappelle.

The nominations for the annual Grammy Awards were announced with US singer and rapper Lizzo leading the pack with eight nods.

Singer-songwriter Alicia Keys, who has 15 Grammys herself, was expected to host the much-anticipated ceremony at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles.

Best Comedy Album nominations:

Jim Gaffigan – Quality Time

Ellen DeGeneres – Relatable

Aziz Ansari – Right Now

Trevor Noah – Son of Patricia

Nigeria’s Burna Boy also has a nomination for the Grammy Awards.

The singer was listed among the nominations for the coming award, which was announced on November 20, 2019.

Burna Boy’s album, African Giant got nominated in the Best World Album category. He was nominated in the category alongside Altin Gün for Gece, Bokanté & Metropole Orkest Conducted By Jules Buckley for What Heat, Nathalie Joachim With Spektral Quartet for Fanm D’Ayiti, and Angelique Kidjo for Celia.

The major award itself will be held on January 26, 2020 and it will be hosted by Alicia Keys. Nominees were led by Lizzo with eight nominations. She is followed by Billie Eilish and Lil Nas X with six nominations.
