A little boy who was sleeping in their home in Maiduguri, was reportedly injured by a stray bullet which penetrated the roof, after it was fired by a Soldier.

Facebook user, Alhaji Mustapha Musty, who shared photos of his injured son wrote;

“Alhamdulla dey discharge us at d hospital back home special thanks 2 friends who help me wihlt prayers also thank Allahu subahanahu was ta ala.”

“2018 New year celebration has become bad to me. While the soldiers are celebrating the new year flying bullet penetrate through my roof and wounded my child on his foot. I’m now in the hospital, I need your prayers friends please.”

Recalll that few days ago, we brought you reports of corp members killed by stray bullets in Akwa Ibom and Rivers States.

Tolulope Alausa, a graduate of Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU) who had 4 months left in his NYSC, was reportedly killed by a stray bullet in Akwa Ibom State.

A statement issued on Monday by the police in the state confirmed the Corps member was shot on Sunday in Eket by unknown assailants who were on a motorcycle.

The police spokesperson in the state, Bala Elkana, said the late Corps member was at Akanimo Street with other Corps members whom he went visiting when he was shot.

Also Mfoniso Umoh, a first class graduate of Marine Engineering and an NYSC member serving in Port harcourt, Rivers State, was also killed by a stray bullet from unknown gunmen who attacked and killed many, including policemen, along Peter odili Road, on Monday, 8th of January, 2018.

Late Umoh, graduated from the Arab Academy of Maritime Transport, in March, 2017. According to his friends who are unhappy with the silence of NYSC and the Rivers State state government on the incident, Umoh was a hound man with a very bright future.
