Sterling bank handler shades GT Bank on Twitter for mistaken a mention for their own

There’s an going bank war happening on Twitter, between Nigerian’s Sterling Bank and GTBank.

It all started after a Twitter user tagged Sterling bank to lay a complaint on how his account balance on their app is different from the one he got on his mobile alert and email.

Tagging Sterling Bank, the Twitter user @Dr Joe Abah wrote;

“Dear @Sterling_Bankng, the account balance showing on your banking app is different (by about N2,000 less) from the balance showing on the text alert and the email alert from you. Which one should I believe, please?”

In a now deleted tweet, Guaranty Trust Bank replied Abah’s tweet, as the bank told him that he tagged the wrong bank on Twitter.

Apparently the Twitter handler for Guaranty Trust Bank thought Abah mentioned them in his Twitter tag.

Responding to GTB’s reply, Abah wrote;

“Dear @gtbank, are you people ok? If you can mix up Twitter handles, what will you do with people’s money?”

On seeing the drama, Sterling bank took to their page to shade GTB for mixing up Twitter handle. They reposted the drama between their customer and GTB on their Twitter page.

See the hilarious exchange below.
