A South African Taxi driver was killed by alleged drug dealers in Pretoria, triggering a riot between natives of the country and foreigners.
According to a report by The SouthAfrican, Taxi drivers have disrupted all operations in the Pretoria CBD and they have warned that this is only the beginning of the destruction they will set on the capital.

According to taxi drivers who spoke with the media on Wednesday, the violence targeted at foreign-owned shops is a direct response to the alleged murder of one of their fellow driver, a man only known, for now, as Jabu.
Based on the information that has been circulated on social media, Jabu was allegedly shot as he tried to prevent foreign nationals from selling a notorious drug known colloquially as Nyoape to addicts.
What began as an unplanned protest by taxi drivers late in the day on Tuesday turned into this. Foreign-owned shops have been looted and destroyed, some torched as police watched on with little they could do as they were outnumbered.
Speaking to the media, one of the protesting taxi drivers revealed that this was a direct response to the murder of Jabu.
The driver indicated that they are sick and tired of having to deal with foreign nationals selling drugs to locals.
“We are fighting for our youth that will lead after us. They [foreign nationals] smoke drugs. They sell them too. Even Nigerians have the nerve to kill people from South Africa, in South Africa… We don’t have a problem with foreigners but the problem is, we are not safe in our country,” the taxi driver shouted.
