Recall that we reported that Bishop Oyedepo who declared himself as a “dangerously wealthy man” who don’t need any stolen money from government officials, made the statement during the opening session of Shiloh 2018 while reacting to speculations that he received stolen money from government officials.

“I don’t share any booty from any government. I have a clear conscience. I am dangerously wealthy. I am rich, whatever I want, comes. That’s what they call wealth,” Oyedepo said.

Seun Kuti reacted to Bishop David Oyedepo’s ‘dangerously rich’ comment and further stated that he doesn’t understand satire, wrote on Instagram;

“You can be ‘dangerously rich’ doesn’t mean you can buy enough knowledge to understand satire.”

“You can be ‘dangerously rich’ doesn’t mean u can buy enough knowledge to understand satire. Someone that doesn’t pay tax is dangerously rich and Lagos state is chasing me up and down.”

  1. We should be careful about our utterances especially where men of God are concerned.Let God be their Judge and save our mouth from destruction

  2. You lack words Seun Kuti. Anyone that does not agree with the Bishop being dangerously rich is on his own.

  3. He is dangerously rich I agree because the bible said that through the poverty if Christ we were made rich

  4. Envy is very bad……to whom ever is blessed with wealth should also bless other but if you refused the giver of wealth will take it from you…..

  5. I think the Bishop calling himself “dangerously rich” is not needed. His fellow Clergymen have not been boastful. Adding the word “dangerously” to it only seemed to lure more controversy

  6. Seun Kuti better be careful. Touch not my anointed and do my prophet no harm. When it comes to men of God caution is highly needed.

  7. He is degerously rich indeed. God can never allow his own to be put to shame. Because HE said that as many that are working in HIS vineyaild, that HE will also work in theirs. God’s principal can not be changed

  8. He is doing the work of God wholeheartedly, hence the riches just comes to him without stress

  9. Seun don’t understand the meaning of him being dangerously, God has blessed him beyond what other critics can imagine..Pls leave papa Oyedepo alone…hustle ur hustle

  10. Look at him enemy of progress, if you like kill yourself, oyedepo will keep on moving higher higher higher.

  11. Why unnecessary comment about men of God. Besides, the crowd he has is enough for him to be very rich.

  12. Godd has blessed bishop Oyedepo, i don’t believe he is getting any money from government purse. Please mind what you say about servants of God

  13. Those that don’t understand the word of wisdom should leave oyedepo alone”speak it and it shall come to pass”

  14. I wonder what is biz in all this, hes a man of God oo,bible says touch not my anointed but do my prophet no harm

  15. People can not mind their business in this world did Bishop David calls when he said he his dangerous wealth brother please mind your business

  16. I don’t know why this statement by the Bishop is generating so much controversy on social media. He said he is dangerously rich, is it a bad thing that he said? Everyone knows how he relates with his God.

  17. We should be careful how we attack prophets of God. Let God be the judge over them so that we may not bring causes upon ourselves. That’s his opinion and understanding. The media is becoming a tool used in scrutinizing famous people now and I advice they be careful of what they say because meaning will always be read in all they say. My opinion.

  18. I also disagree with that kind of statement..his a man of God,he shouldn’t be comparing himself with people that are in the world

  19. I don’t even understand why people won’t let him be, he says things as he believes them, besides wealth or riches doesn’t always mean money.

  20. David Oyedepo is only sharing his experience in Christ Jesus
So beware he’s not competing with anyone

  21. Whether he is dangerously rich or stinkingly rich it’s non of my business and should not be any body’s business.

  22. We should learn to mind our business, Bishop Oyedepo didn’t mention anybody’s name in his statement

  23. calling himself “dangerously rich” is not needed. His fellow Clergymen have not been boastful. Adding the word “dangerously” to it only seemed to lure more controversy

  24. His fellow Clergymen have not been boastful. Adding the word “dangerously” to it only seemed to lure more controversy

  25. If Bishop Oyedepo says he is dangerously rich, then I think he was putting it mildly. The man is DANGEROUSLY RICH! If Bishop Oyedepo says he is dangerously rich, this is not being ‘boastful’; he is only making a statement of fact. This is one point of view. Another point of view is that Bishop Oyedepo is a man of faith who we all know to always make ‘dangerous’ declarations. And when he does, he sees results. Mr Kuti and the rest of us should borrow a leaf from him!

  26. Bishop Oyedepo may be rich as said but shouldnt brag about it on social media. he should watch himself.

  27. Dat one na their own palava. I am less concerned cos its not my business. It doesn’t put food on my table

  28. Everyone has their own source of getting rich……the greatness of a man is not determined by the wealth he has but how he has impact to people life, or invested into lives

  29. Please forget this comparison, he is rich thank God, , Are you FIRS that will tax him ? Just mind your dry business.,

  30. Being a highly ordained priest of God whatever he says stands….so young man focus on your business

  31. How did u know that the pastor doesn’t pay tax. I’m not a member of his church but u need to be sure abt things before u speak abt them. Na u know oo

  32. Everyone has the right to statement without prejudice. Whatever happen to you and state government is your penny. There are many rich men that don’t pay tax

  33. God has blessed him. If you are not happy go and hug the transformer. Its not his fault na God do am

  34. A lot of rich mans out there don’t pay tax.. If you have any issue with the government go suit your self out and leave the Man of God alone

  35. Talking like a drunk. He is dangerously rich speaking from the scripture. So if I say I can never be sick you will attack me for sying that too? Please stay off men of God. If He says you run mad , you run mad.. don’t argue.

  36. Oga please mind your business, if you are too concern about his wealth and riches get close to him so that he will teach.

  37. I still condemn that statement and repeat
What has he done to uplift the lives of the poor?
Why would he brag bout being rich?
Going by who and what Jesus Christ stand for
Are we seeing that trait in most if these pastors?
Are they truly modelling Christ or full time twisters of the real truth and ultimate goal of Christianity which is salvation
Allowing us to base in prosperity and more so their prosperity

  38. Let them leave him alone he his dangerously rich truly may God have mercy on we the followers, because I don’t understand why a man of God we brag about is wealth publicly

  39. Oyedepo should be careful of what he says in public. It can be interpreted in a million and one ways.

  40. Seun don’t understand the meaning of him being dangerously, God has blessed him beyond what other critics can imagine..Pls leave papa Oyedepo alone…hustle ur hustle

  41. hahahaha wot concern you now na you know pass abi don’t worry o since you want to try God that same God will disgrace you o

  42. This issue of dangerously rich is really causing a lot of commotion in the country lately. This kind of expression can lead the youths to a delicate end of seeking riches.

  43. Do not judge no man because u are not God all your opinion does not matter besides wealth or riches doesn’t always mean money

  44. Lol….from what he said the man of God meant that he is wealthy to the level that he don’t need govt work

  45. Lemme mind my own business and comment wisely oh. Leave their utterances to God for he alone knows all. Dont go dragging your mouth into someone else’s dangerously rich business

  46. You lack words Seun Kuti. Anyone that does not agree with the Bishop being dangerously rich is on his own. I still don’t understand what concerns him with bishop Oyedepo statement

  47. Well, oyedepo is a man of God, whether what his saying is right or not, so you are not in right position to judge hit sir Mr seun kuti

  48. I always say this and I will say it again please lets be careful of what we sag when men of God are involved

  49. In this era that people wantbto be popular by all means they will pick any line of sentence and interpret it the way they like

  50. we don’t have any right to judge any man of God we should leave them for God, God is the one that will judge them..
