The Nigerian Senate has resumed probe of Senator Elisha Abbo for allegedly assaulting a woman in Abuja in a sex toy shop.

The Senate on Wednesday raised an adhoc committee to investigate the assault allegations laid against Senator Elisha Abbo Cliff (PDP, Adamawa). Senator Elisha allegedly assaulted the lady at a sex toy shop in Abuja and it was caught by the shop’s cctv camera.
The video of the incident was released on social media on Tuesday and has since gone viral, sparking so many reactions from Nigerians. The senator was seen in a video clip assaulting the lady in a sex toy shop somewhere in Abuja for telling him to calm down during a confrontation.
The video has sparked outrage and earlier today, a group of protesters matched to the Police Headquaters in Abuja to protest against his action and submit a petition to the IGP to immediately resume investigation on the incident.
The Senator during a telephone conversation with ChannelsTV denied the allegations against him. He also stated that he was first beaten and his sister assault to the point she fainted and needed resuscitation with the help of a doctor. He assured that he will release a statement on the incident soon.
