The Lagos State Police Command had disclosed that member of House of Representatives and club owner, Shina Peller was arrested and detained after he stormed Maroko Police Station with over 50 thugs to remove some vehicles seized by Police at his club.
The police had on Monday morning towed three of the vehicles belonging to Quilox’s customers that were causing gridlock. It was reported that warning was issued to the club owner earlier but he ignored.
Peller’s club, Quilox, was fond of obstructing the free flow of traffic and he had been warned many times, but he refused to do anything about it. Nigerians had reacted to his arrest, some sympathizing while the other half were happy for the turn of event.
Popular Twitter legal practitioner, Sega link had cue into the matter and had promise that the matter is being looked into. Taking to his tweeter page he made this known in a series of tweet. See below:
This is being looked into Distinguished
The CP of @PoliceNG_lagos and Distinguished DSP @ElkanaBala are forever commended on the restraint exercised on the traffic obstruction matter of customers of Quilox that could have been managed better by the Honorable @ShinaPeller & the officers of Panti Police station.
All parties however have been reached to ensure this is sorted amicably with civility. Traffic management remains top priority of @followlasg and @followlastma who’s been pushed beyond their threshold with the parking nuisance of the customers of that club.
No individual is bigger than the law in any state and orientation will continue to be given to citizens across classes on the independence of the new face of policing in Nigeria. The honorable will be released & he will spend the holiday at home. #EndGoSlow #KeepLagosMoving
