Rivers government bans Igbo group meeting in Oyigbo

Rivers Government has banned meeting of some Igbo residents in Oyigbo Local Government Area of the state.

Paulinus Nsirim, the state commissioner for information and communications, announced the ban of United Igbo community’s meeting scheduled to hold at Oyigbo on Saturday, April 10, 2021.

He stated that the decision was necessary in order to avoid unrest in the area. Nsirim said security agencies has been contacted to ensure that such meeting does not hold in the community.
