Reactions as new EFCC boss assembles staff under the sun

The PUNCH shared images of Bawa addressing the staff who were assembled under the sun, and stressed on the need for them to execute their functions and duties in a disciplined manner.

Nigerians did not welcome the idea of making the members of staff to stand under the sun when they could have used a conference centre or in the case that they can’t all fit into the conference room, little groups can be formed in different parts of the office and each of them would be logged into Zoom for a virtual meeting.

Read how some Nigerians reacted below..

@PureMinD__; Zoom, Teams, Google hangout, Skype amongst others could have sufficed. So much for youth appointment

@IffiBaba4; This 24 billion naira building was designed and built by Julius berger. It has a large seminar hall.

This is a childish power move by the able young boss. This country dey mumu cruise walahi

@ananabannamdi; You assemble staffs like they are primary school students. What happened to conference calls, emails or a virtual meeting that will easily accommodate everyone comfortably. Anyway, when you have a village man as a President, be rest assured his subordinates will be like him too.

@Allezamani; Inside Sun? What happened to conference hall in the EfCC secretariat? I won’t be surprised if they have none.

@iamLaBii; We know his name, why is his ID turned? Breeze, security purpose or? And why must they be addressed under the sun. This hardship and slavery mentality has killed some people completely. Their office does even count anymore. Ments! Menter!! Mentest!!! People! Ah
