President Buhari extends IGP Mohammed Adamu’s tenure

President Mohammadu Buhari has extended the tenure of the Inspector General of Police, IGP, Mohammed Adamu by three months.

The Minister of Police Affairs, Mohammad Dingyadi, announces this on Thursday afternoon, February 4.

According to Dingyadi, the extension was necessary so as to give time for the proper selection of a replacement.

The Inspector General of Police’s tenure expired on Monday, February 1, but is expected to serve additional three months until a successor is selected.
