Presidency reacts to Obasanjo’s letter to Buhari

The Presidency refused every urge to reply to the new letter by former President Olusegun Obasanjo to President Muhammadu Buhari to stand up to the occasion and stop the high rate of insecurity with its attendant loss of lives in the country.

Obasanjo in an open letter to President Buhari stated that the increasing rate of insecurity allegedly carried out by Fulani herdsmen without any quick action by the President who is a Fulani was able of leading to the disintegration of Nigeria.

But efforts made to get the feedback from the spokesmen of the President did not produce any results as no one was willing to comment on it.

However, a Presidency source who did not want to be quoted simply said, “When we are ready we will come out with a statement.”

It has been noted that representatives of the Presidency always try to avoid having quarrels with Obasanjo.

Only the former Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohmmed that oncetook courage by squaring up with the former President in one of his blame against President Buhari even when the President was said to have opposed reactions from his team.
