Politician and aspirant, Matthew Karimo (Bayelsa West Senatorial District) who on Friday campaigned in Ekeremor local government area of Bayelsa state, was the ‘only one’ smiling in photos after giving the villagers indomie and maggi cubes.

It was gathered that the villagers were empowered with Indomie, Maggi cubes and other ingredients to drum support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) aspirant. However here are photos from the food gifts outing;

  10. They are fooling themselves the women will collect the items and cook for their kids but will vote for the candidate of their choice

  11. From the looks on there faces, it is clear that those gifts they collected from them didn’t truly make them happy, they should be empowered by good roads, medical facilities, schools, both secondary and tertiary institutions, good jobs, good markets etc

  12. Why would they be happy since they know they Hippocratic people that’s is just the only gain they can derive from them . when they get there they embezzled the money for the public. Only God can safe us from them

  15. Empowerment indeed they can’t be happy nau cos they know they deserve more and that the politicians are out to fool them again

  16. How is that empowerment in any way
    That’s wrong
It should be politicians have started trying to buy people with indomie noodles

  17. These politician, has started again, what kind of foolish empowerment is this, the people are not even happy with their gift, don’t give them peanut,do something that will better there life and the life of their children, not indomie that they will eat and forget

  18. The message is clear…time of money politics is over
People want to see their lives changing…they want security of lives and property…etc

  19. How will they be happy, empowering people with noodles please how many days will they eat that one, you even call it empowerment. There is God o

  20. How do you think they will be happy is the indomie what they are going eat forever, provide for them job and something beneficial to them

  21. Why would they be happy , when it is only during election that they will start sharing nonsense. The way they are looking , they will just collect the stuff and the politician will wait for his ancestors to come and vote for him

  22. What is indomie that they can’t buy? Village people dnt really like indomie….they need empowerment that is way better than this ..them no try at all.

  23. Nigerian politicians like deceiving people with such kind of things in campaign. But Nigerians are wise now. They not interested in their useless indomie and maggi. Vote wisely.

  24. I hope those politicians understand what empowerment means. How do they expect them to smile when your giving them useless things in the form of empowerment.

  25. This is another way of making the people vote for them.I pray the villagers are wise this time not a mke a wrong decision voting for the wrong person

  26. Lolzzzz this is very funny.
    Their stomachs are being empowered.
After stealing our resources, these politicians still find it difficult to spend these money for campaign.
    God have mercy

  27. Please that thing is not empowerment. Giving people Maggi and Indomie and you call it empowerment. He just served them food.mtewwww!!! This politicians will never cease to amaze us

  28. May God have mercy on them. What do they want the old woman to do with Indomie. If she is their mother will they give her Indomie? Empowerment indeed

  29. Please is indomie and Maggi empowerment? There is nothing I will not see in this country.
Empowerment is teaching someone how to do something and make money to help his family. Like how to sew, cook, bake etc and then empower them with Sewing machine etc

  30. Food empowerment. You don’t have to imitate or curry citizens to vote for you. Just be thru to your words and put them into action.

  31. Where and how will the smile come from? This politicians are just so ridiculous, so na indomie and Maggi the villagers no fit afford abi? They shouldnt have even collected it in the first place. Rubbish

  32. Haaaaabaaaa, what kind of insult is this look at the indomie sef, what is this people taking us for? They are even not ashamed, very shameless people, just to be voted for, please Nigeria let’s open our eyes oo, any one giving you indomie to vote him is fake

  33. Politicians will Not stop to amaze me with such thing , who does indomie and maggi do innthe life of such people , Nigerians pls wise up o

  34. Abia state, your honourable gave hoe and cutlasses without a farm land, that’s not empowerment o. For those Bayelsans, they wouldn’t have turn up when they know they ain’t in support of APC. #foodweenotkeepeople

  35. what nonsense empowerment is that. What are they supposed to do with indomie and maggj, that’s ridiculous. Don’t they have anything better to do for them like build shops and allow them sell wares at least that will put food on their tables not some meagre indomie and maggi.

  36. This is really funny, one thing our politicians don’t know is that nobody wants to waste their vote even the villagers are not left out. Nigerians have passed through a lot in the hands of past government.

  37. This is no empowerment!!!
It would have been better if he did not give anything. Doling out maggi cubes and packs of noodles as tools of empowerment is shameful. Most people aim to put smilles on faces but he just did the opposite.

  38. These ones know their rights. They now know the scope they’re using, they use these items to buy the future of the people.
