Police arrest dismissed sergeant who snatches motorcycle in Bauchi

A dismissed police officer has been arrested by Bauchi State Police Command, he is notorious for snatching motorcycles in the state.

Police identified the dismissed police sergeant as Makama Musa, 34, who was arrested for for robbery and impersonation on June 24.

According to information by the DSP Ahmed Mohammed Wakil, Command’s public relations officer, the patrol team attached to Yelwa Police Station Bauchi arrested Musa who was wearing police uniform along Dass road following a series of complaints by residents.

“The suspect confessed to the crime and the following exhibit was recovered from him; Neon blue shirt and black trouser. Device rank of sergeant and Police badge. Boxer motorcycle with number plate DBM-319-UR, Bauchi.”

He added: “The Commissioner of Police directed that the case should be transferred to SCID for discreet investigation after which the suspect would be charged to court for prosecution/possible conviction.”
