Police allegedly knocks down mum, kills baby while chasing bus driver

A woman who was backing her baby and attempting to board a bus at Elf bus stop yesterday, was allegedly knocked down by Police Officers who were chasing the bus driver. According to reports, the Police officers immediately took off after the incident happened.

An initial report was given by a twitter user @ChinweChekwa about the incident. She wrote;

So a woman at Elf bus stop, Lekki was backing her child and on trying to cross the busy express, the child fell off her back and got crushed by on coming vehicles. The overhead bridge is just 3 mins away.

An Instagram user, Otas Onota debunked the claim after the tweet was shared by one of her followers. She commented,

That wasn’t what happened. She wasn’t trying to cross the road. She was trying to board a bus and some police men were harassing the driver,she was in and out of the bus when it moved and the baby fell off and got his/her head smashed.
She’s hurting already.
Peddling rumors and trying to blame her would be unfair at this time.
