Ignatius Longjan is dead, before his death at the age of 75, he was the Senator representing Plateau South at the National Assembly.
According to a family source who spoke with LEADERSHIP, Longjan, 75, died at a Turkish Hospital, Nizamiye in Abuja.
The former Plateau State deputy governor had a running battle with an undisclosed ailment in the last six months.
“His health condition deteriorated shortly after their inauguration in the Senate in June last year but we’ve now lost him,” the family source added.
Before his death, he was a member of the ruling All Progressives Congress and Vice Chairman, Senate Committee on Culture and Tourism.
He was also the Vice Chairman of Foreign Affairs before his demise.
Longjan was born on 16 May, 1945 and died as a member of the All Progressive Congress (APC), and also a former deputy Governor of Plateau state.
