Family members, friends and colleagues of Jesse, son of billionaire businessman, Anselm Tabansi, who reportedly died in a fatal accident on Tuesday April 10th, turned up for his service of songs which was held at Harbour point, Lagos today April 18th.

23-year-old Jesse who was riding with his friend when the accident occurred, died in the accident while his friend survived. The fast rising pop star had singles like Ki lon waso, Last Time, Shake, Boma Ye among others and was also being groomed to take over his father’s businesses, before his death.

Jesse’s death came few months after DJ Olu, a Nigerian entertainer and son of billionaire businessman Dapo Abiodun was also found dead in his car. The Lagos State Police Command also recovered substances suspected to be hard drugs from a car in which another friend of the hip hop musician, David Adeleke, a.k.a Davido, Olugbenga Abiodun DJ Olu died.

According to Punch, operatives from the Ikoyi Police Division received a distress call that two young men were lying lifeless in a car.

It was learnt that the corpses had been deposited in the Lagos State Teaching Hospital morgue, for post-mortem to find the actual cause of death.

A police woman told a correspondent, “They were found dead in the car and blood was coming out of their noses and mouths. A doctor was also at the scene. Physical examination of the bodies indicated that the victims must have died of an overdose of substances suspected to be hard drugs. The substances were found in the car.”

Also confirming the incident, the Lagos State Acting Commissioner of Police, Edgar Imohimi, said the police recovered substances suspected to be drugs from the victims.

Police Boss Edgar Imohimi, however, said the police would subject the substances to laboratory tests for identification.
