Petty trader weeps after unknown thief stole her carton of fish in Benue

A Nigerian man has taken to Facebook to lament after an unknown thief stole the carton of fish belonging to a petty trader in Gboko local government Area of Benue state.

According to the Facebook user identified as Smith Akom Takema, the widowed trader bought a carton of iced fish on Tuesday, May 25, dropped it at the usual spot where she normally fry the fish to buy firewood.

On returning to the spot, she found out that the carton of fish has gone missing. The trader was later informed that someone came on a motorcycle and stole it.

Sharing photo of the devastated woman, Takema said the trader was crying that he was moved to tears.

He wrote;

“A widow fries ice fish at the extreme of my fence, she bought a carton of ice fish this morning and dashed to a nearby firewood seller and someone came on the bike and picked it. She is crying like the whole world has come on her. I am move to tears.”
