The owner of Pensacola car dealership Pete Moore Chevrolet, passed away at the age of 68. Pete was born Dec. 25, 1950.

Pete Moore Chevrolet announced Pete Moore death on their Facebook page Wednesday morning. The post did not say how the 68-year old passed away Wednesday.

The post on Pete Moore Chevrolet’s Facebook page reads:

“Pete Moore, a husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend has passed on and leaves us with great sadness.

His impact on our lives and community is immeasurable. Our loss is deeply felt. The Pete Moore family thanks you for your thoughts and prayers.”

Moore was known for his charitable contributions to the community. In September 2018, he donated a 2017 Chevrolet Impala to the Gulf Breeze Police Department for Gulf Breeze Elementary School’s D.A.R.E. program.

His business also sponsored numerous charities, including the Council on Aging of West Florida, the Panhandle Charitable Open and the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, among many others.

Pete Moore donated two brand new trucks to the Pensacola Beach safety program in 2004 — and continued replacing them every other year, free of charge.

Was sorry to hear about the death of Pete Moore. He and his wife were regulars at hemmingways when i was there and were great to sing to.

They were always extremely nice and went out of there way to come over and talk some.

They hired me to play a party at their house and had a great time there also RIP PETE MOORE.

Peter Richard “Pete” Moore, 68, of Gulf Breeze, FL passed away Wednesday, May 1, 2019.

Pete was born to Clarence and Virginia Moore on December 25, 1950 on Long Island, New York. He grew up in Merrick, NY and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree from Albany State University. Pete moved to Pensacola in 1981 and founded Pete Moore Chevrolet. Pete always had a passion for his business, the employees, and this community.

Pete was known for his honesty, integrity, kindness, and fairness throughout his life. He was a devoted 38-year member of St. Ann Catholic Church in Gulf Breeze, FL. Pete enjoyed boating and most of all loved spending time with his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include:

  • his loving wife, Angela Ellis Moore;
  • four daughters, Danielle Virginia Chodorowski (David), Lauren Moore Cutter (Michael), Jacqueline Patricia Pommerening (Eric), and Meghan Kay-anne Conklin;
  • 10 grandchildren, David Peter, Claire, Joseph, Paul, Virginia, & Elizabeth Chodorowski, Cole & Beckett Cutter, and Levi & Archer Pommerening;
  • his four siblings, Stephen Moore (Cathy), Patricia Peirano (John), George Moore (Sharon), and William Moore;
  • as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation will be held 5-7pm Friday, May 3, 2019 at St. Ann Catholic Church, Gulf Breeze, FL. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00am Saturday, May 4, 2019 at St. Ann Catholic Church, Gulf Breeze, FL, with Msgr. Luke Hunt celebrant. Private family committal will follow at Rose Lawn Cemetery in Gulf Breeze, FL.

Pallbearers will be Stephen Moore, George Moore, William Moore, John Peirano Jr., Justin Moore, Stephen Moore Jr., Mike Cutter, and Buddy Rodgers.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Santa Rosa Kids House, 5643 Stewart St., Milton, FL 32570.
