Pastor Mike Bamiloye raises alarm over the attitude of Church Instrumentalists lailasnews

According to Pastor Mike Bamiloye, most church instrumentalists are either sleeping or surfing the internet with their phones when a Pastor is preaching. The Nigerian gospel film maker further stated that this attitude, is universally agreed upon. Here’s what he wrote on his Facebook page;

I HAVE A SERIOUS CONCERN
The Church Instrumentalists.
Those Young Men and Boys that play Musical instruments in the Church.
I don’t Understand Many of Them.
I come Across them everywhere I have gone.
As if their Attitudes have been Universally Agreed upon.
You will be Preaching, They will be
Fiddling with Guitar Strings.
You will be Teaching, many of them will be Sleeping or browsing.
Messages of great importance will be blaring out to the Congregation,
They will be using their Keyboard to Confirm what the Preachers are saying.
When Everyone is in sober reflections on the vital message, they will be playing Nollywood mood music.
AND THE ALTAR CALL IS MADE AND PEOPLE ARE COMING OUT FOR SALVATION OR REDEDICATION OF LIFE,
THEY WILL BEGIN TO PLAY:
“I surrender All…”
TO ENCOURAGE PEOPLE TO THE ALTAR.
BUT THEY MOST OF THE TIME DONT SEE THE REASON FOR THEM TO REDEDICATE THEIR LIVES TO JESUS.
AND THEY RARELY COME OUT FOR ALTAR CALLS.
I am Sorry, Maybe it is Only me that has observed this.

Pastor Mike Bamiloye raises alarm over the attitude of Church Instrumentalists lailasnews 1

Pastor Mike Bamiloye had before now, slammed Pastors who bring comedians to the altars as he further stated that comedy shows in church is a sin. Sharing a video of Pastor Paul Adefarasin laughing at a comedy show in his church, ‘House On The Rock’, he wrote;

“As per COMEDY in Church Meetings and Events!!

I want to address Christians – ALL denominations – this morning without prejudice!

For a long while I have questioned the inclusion of COMEDY in Church events. What do I question? The fact that the comedians brought in are allowed to make jokes of scriptures, the Blood of Jesus, speaking in tongues, the throne of grace etc.’ AND WE SIT THERE LAUGHING!

What are we laughing at? What is funny? Mocking God and Christ and the Holy Spirit and the Word is funny????

We hear of other religions where they are obsessed with protecting the image of their Leader and we gleefully allow people to MOCK our Leader JESUS CHRIST and the Holy Spirit and thereby indirectly MOCKING GOD!!! They look at us with disdain because we are BAD AMBASSADORS of our faith!

Lukewarmness and cynicism has crept slowly into the life of Christians. We pull ourselves down publicly, abuse leaders of the gospel will glee, mock certain commandments of God. YET when we run into trouble who do we call upon???

Bible has already stated that towards the end times there will be mockers of the gospel and preachers doing wrong. WHY ARE YOU ALLOWING YOURSELF TO BE ONE OF THEM???

We come into Facebook and spew out curses and abuses – mock the commandments especially when it comes to forgiveness issues and honour of parents etc and we go to church and lift up hands and voices to WHO??? HE who we MOCK with DISOBEDIENCE? We quickly mouth monotonous words – God is in control! Amen! It is well! Praise God etc but do we HONOUR HIM with our words and actions??? We are humans and not perfect but SHOULD WE MOCK THE CORE COMPONENTS OF OUR FAITH???

I was thinking of all this since Friday when a comedian was allowed in the stage at the EXPERIENCE to use a scripture in the Old Testament as foundation for his jokes! I LAUGHED also but later felt badly convicted and I said I will speak out – then this morning I received the message below in my whatsapp and I said – somebody feels the same way I do. It is long but worth reading

  1. Kinder true just like the choir members who usually don’t put offering due to they are the singing chorus for the offerings.

  2. I’ll be telling you why it’s wrong for Mike Bamiloye to call out church instrumentalists.
The founder of Mount Zion Faith Ministries, Mike Bamiloye took to his Facebook account on the 29th of March, 2018 to call out on church instrumentalists.
Attention: If you think this post is to run down men of God, please kindly leave this blog because I am attacking the message and not the messenger. Mike Bamiloye is a member of the body of Christ and I’ll never watch anybody attack him and go free, no matter what he does. But for his message, I’ll fight it to the death.

As a church instrumentalist, I am highly displeased with his post and I’ll tell you why he shouldn’t have done that in this post.

“So, What Did Mike Bamiloye Say?”
These are the exact words in his post as at 30th March, 2018 (7:47am Nigerian time) when the post was retrieved:

Top 3 Reasons Why I Think Mike Bamiloye’s Message Is Wrong
Now that you’re aware of what is said, I’ll go ahead and give you top three reasons why Mike Bamiloye shouldn’t have called out on musicians.

    Reason #1 – It’s A Hate Speech
If Mike Bamiloye was correcting church instrumentalists, that would have been a very different issue. Instead, he was attacking musicians and from the beginning of the post to the end of it, you can see how derogatory he sounded; no love, no respect, no sentiments.

He even described the talk music we set the atmosphere with as Nollywood mood music when he said “When Everyone is in sober reflections on the vital message, they will be playing Nollywood mood music.”
You could feel the heat of the hate in the comment section with lots of ill-hearted comments and replies.

Reason #2 – He Was Generalizing
He was generalizing all the flaws. He never pointed out that he’s seen good musicians with character — he generalized.
There are lots of musicians who have the competence and character, who are saved and are resourceful to the kingdom. However, according to him “ I come Across them everywhere I have gone.” and for me this is Mike Bamiloye trying to say that in his decades of doing ministry, he has met only charlatans.
    This is wrong!
If you want to correct musicians, be specific to those musicians and don’t sound generic because you’ll be hurting the musicians who have the character.

Reason #3 – He Should Be Correcting Other Men Of God
Church Instrumentalists have not done up to 10% of the evil I’ve seen in so many “men of God”. So, it’s inappropriate to call musicians out.

We’ve heard among men of God, sex scandals, cases of witchcraft, rituals, financial misconduct, hypnosis, bitter church politics, assassination, and the list goes on and on.

These are things that Mike Bamiloye should focus on as a man who’s been there for years that young ones should look up to.

Jesus warned us to remove the log of wood in our eyes before the speck in others, therefore, men of God should sanitize themselves first before advising others.

    Final Words
I also have a serious concern. So many church pastors, bishops, prophets, etc., out there are doing ministry to make money and their belly is their god. They do all sorts of witchcraft, and abominable practices that you know too well, sleep with church members, brainwash them, manipulate them and even go as far as collecting their destinies.
I have seen “men of God” arrange miracles, and there are cases of them walking on air, calling God with their mobile phone or snapping a Baby at home from the Church with an Ipad. Some make their members eat grasses, others trample on them, and so many other things that time would fail me to highlight.
These are things that we should focus on and they are more important than addressing church instrumentalists.
There are charlatans everywhere; among ushers, pastors, protocol members, etc., but if you think you need to remind church instrumentalists about theirs, then we’ll help you wash your dirty linen in public.
