Owerri airport on fire again

A fire outbreak has been reported once again at the Sam Mbakwe International Cargo Airport, Owerri.

According to the General Manager, Corporate Affairs, Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria, Mrs Henrietta Yakubu, who described the fire as a mere as a bush fire, the incident did not affect flight operation

According to Yakubu, firefighters are currently working to control the spread of the fire.

In April 2019, a section of the arrival and departure parts of the airport were razed down by an intense fire outbreak.
