Over 200 Islamic school students kidnapped in Niger

Over 200 students of an Islamic school located at Tegina in the Rafi Local Government Area of Niger State have been abducted.

The attacked happen on Sunday May 30 around 4:30pm and one person was reportedly shot dead while another is critically injured.

A resident of the area confirm the incident, as he added that the Salihu Tanko Islamiyya school was built by a retired immigration officer.

However, details of the attack is still sketchy but the school is said to be a day school were student attend to acquire Islamic education.

Meanwhile, the police are yet to make any comments or statement regarding the attack.
