South Africa’s president, Jacob Zuma, resigned yesterday over corrupt allegations and some Nigerians have decided to troll the Governor of Imo state, Governor Rochas Okorocha on the statue he erected in the honour of the ousted President.
Imo state governor, Rochas Okorocha, sometimes last year immortalized the resigned president with a gigantic statue in his honor – a street in the state was even named after Zuma and he was also given a chieftain title.
Nigerians on Twitter are now making fun of the governor and asking what becomes of the statue of the former president who was forced out of office by his own party ANC, for being corrupt.

Remember that Governor Okorocha has been criticised in time past for having the habit of erecting statues of notable presidents across Africa in his state. A lot of Nigerians condemned this act, coming especially from a governor where most of the citizens of his state are languishing in poverty, with poor infrastructural development across the state.
The governor was even at a time considered to b out of his mind for creating a Ministry of Happiness in Imo State. This actually got a lot of Nigerians talking and it was even worse as he made his sister the Commissioner of the ministry.
In their defense about the move, the governor and his sister claimed that most indigenes of the state live an unhappy life, especially in their homes and the ministry will cater for that in the areas of counseling and sensitization of the people on how to maintain happiness in the home.
The governor even recently mentioned that he is the most popular governor in the country. According to the governor, Owerri, the state capital of Imo state had seen many infrastructural developments that any other state in Nigeria. And also, his government is involved in the construction of roads in other part of the state
Indigenes of the state however claim they do not see any infrastructural development as the governor claims.
