Nigerian writer, Vincent Desmond has recounts how his mother attempted to get him arrested after he came out as gay.
Desmond, who writes for Reuters, British Vogue, among other publications, made the revelation in a tweet on Saturday, January 2.
Taking to Twitter, he said; “Every now and then I remeber that when I came out as gay to my mum she tried to get me arrested.”
Reacting to his tweet, other Twitter users shared their experience with their parents on his comment section.
This are the people who claim to love us. I know my mum will do worse. She would probably pull the guilt-trip stunt on how I'm trying to kill her or just pour me hot water at night. That's why I intend to step out and pretend we never happened.
