Nigerian lady shows off money she saved in her piggy bank in 10 months

A young Nigerian Instagram user identified as Lola has taken to the social networking platform to post a video showing the amount of money she saved for 10 months with her traditional piggy bank popular known as ‘Kolo’.

According to Lola, she was able to realise the total amount of N65,385.

She also added that she would have kept the Kolo until December but she had to break the piggy bank early to get herself a birthday gift. Even though the fund is not enough for the gift she so desired, but she sounded so happy to have been able to save that much.

She shared the clip and wrote:

“My Kolo family ooo, I opened my kolo today oooo after 10months. I’d have kept it till December but I won buy baiday gift for myself . I sha got 65,385Naira from it. Birthday gift money never complete oooo.”

The lady seems to have motivated most of her followers as they all now want to get their piggy banks to start saving the traditional way.

One of her followers even mentioned that she has been doing same since 2016 and she does not have any plan to break the Piggy bank until the end of the year 2018.
