A Nigerian doctor has taken to social media to advise the government on the best punishment for people flouting COVID-19 guidelines by clubbing.

Taking to her Twitter page, @drbellanifemi, wrote the Lagos state governor and commissioner for health, advising them on the rightful punishment for those flouting COVID-19 guidelines.

According to @drbellanifemi, those caught in the act should be punished with community service at IDH Yaba.

IDH Yaba is an infectious disease hospital in Lagos state, and the doctor believes that a first hand experience of the virus would allow them take the virus more serious.

See what she wrote below;

Dear @jidesanwoolu @ProfAkinAbayomi @LSMOH

I want the punishment for those violating Covid-19 rules, especially those arrested at clubs to be community service at IDH Yaba, let them come and be pushing oxygen cylinders into the wards and assist with moving bodies to morgue.

They will see the real situation firsthand and become the preacher when they return home.
Kindly put this into consideration.

Thank you
Dr Nifemi
