Nigerian Ambassador To Qatar, Amb. Abdullahi Wase is reportedly dead. The death of the Nigerian envoy has been confirmed by the spokesman, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Tope Elias-Fatile.
According to Tope Elias-Fatile, the late Nigerian Ambassador to Qatar was a a non-career ambassador from Plateau State and had been sick for a while until his death on Friday night. The statement further disclosed that he will be buried in Doha at 7.00pm (local time) today.
“The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama, received the news of his death with shock and prayed that God grant his family and the nation the fortitude to bear the great loss,” the statement added.
Dr. Bawa Abdullahi Wase (Haruna), reported to his station (Nigerian-Doha) in the state of Qatar, on the 27th of October, 2017 to commence his duties as the second resident Ambassador to this country, (the State of Qatar) after the exit of Ambassador Ahmed Shuaibu.
Dr. Bawa Abdullahi Wase (Haruna), possessed definitive multi-faceted disciplinary background, with over 30 years working experience in scientific and Human Resources management, -Coordinating; Resources Research, Corporate Public Analysis under-taking, as well as in-depth Intelligence Networking, Utility Analysis, with over 1,483 top-level paper presentations at various course centers, conferences, seminars, summits and workshops.
Wase, instructed in top security out-fits in Nigeria, including the famous Police Staff College in Jos, instructing the Advanced Detective Courses(ADC) (I & II) for the Assistant Superintendents of Police, Inter-Mediate Command Course (ICC) (for the Superintendents and Chief Superintendents of Police), Junior Command Course (JCC),for Chief Superintendents and Assistant Commissioners of Police, as well as Senior Command Course (SCC) for Assistant Commissioners of Police and Deputy Commissioners for the purpose of promotion to the rank of Deputy Commissioners and Commissioners of Police respectively, for years.
Dr. Bawa Abdullahi Wase (Haruna), has been a visiting lecturer to the Post-Graduate Institute of Accountancy (ANAN) called (National College of Accountancy) lecturing Public Sector Accounting and Advanced Financial-Accounting up-till 2004.
Before his death, Dr.Bawa Abdullahi Wase (Haruna), also lectured at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, taking Graduate and Post-Graduate students on Strategic Management, Advanced Auditing and Investigations, Cost-Accounting and Basic Mathematics, Corporate Finance and Public Policy analysis.
