Nicole was found dead with her friend in vehicle wreckage near a San Diego canyon over the weekend after hikers on Mission Trails’ Oak Canyon Trail found the severely damaged car Sunday morning near an underpass of state Route 52.
Nicole Shamoun death:
35 year old Nicole Shamoun was the passenger in the vehicle driven by Sarah Lindsay Constantine, 31 year old of Acton, a small rural community in Los Angeles County.
Hikers on the far northern edge of Mission Trails Regional Park discovered their badly damaged car below state Route 52 with the bodies of the two women inside of it Sunday morning at about 8am.
The severely damaged vehicle had apparently crashed off SR-52. GPS coordinates provided by the Medical Examiner’s Office showed the car ended up in a canyon below a bridge about two miles west of Mast Boulevard.
Both died at the scene from multiple blunt force injuries. It was unknown when the crash occurred.
CHP Officer Jake Sanchez said the car was damaged beyond recognition, and only when crews found a Mazda emblem could they tell what make of car it was.
A GoFundMe page for Shamoun’s son, Camden, whom she leaves behind, has raised over $9000 of their $100,000 goal.
