Singer Naira Marley has finally been released from Ikoyi Prison following his arrest by EFCC on account of fraud.
14 days after Naira Marley was granted bail, he has finally been released from Ikoyi Prison on bail as ordered by the court, he had to meet 2 strong conditions to be granted bail. The court ordered that Naira Marley must provide Two Million Naira (2,000,000) bond, and two sureties, one with a landed property and the other, a Civil Servant, not lower than a level 10 officer. The judge also directed EFCC to verify the bail terms.
On Friday, May 31, the rapper’s management took to his Instagram page to announce to his fans that he would be released. They revealed that all the bail conditions given to the rapper has been perfected. According to the management, the rapper would be released on Monday, June 3, and he is to remain in Ikoyi prison until then but looks like it took longer than they anticipated.
The management had to call out EFCC for the delay in verifying the sureties and keeping him that long. A day after calling them out, Naira Marley is now released from prison.
