Imaobong Friday Brownson, 26, of Okop, Obot Akara LGA, Akwa Ibom State, who resides in Bakassi LGA, Cross River State, until last week Thursday, had two kids, aged 8 and 3 years old.
Late, that fateful Thursday, her boyfriend, 30-year old Ubong Michael, viciously attacked her and the two kids, in Ifian Anyong, Bakassi, inflicting life threatening matchet cuts to her head and body. The kids were not spared, the youngest died from the cuts she received. Her 8-year old daughter who survived the brutal matchet cuts to her body too, has achondroplasia, a genetic disorder of bone growth, perhaps the most common cause of short stature with disproportionately short limbs.
Mother and daughter are in critical condition at the University of Calabar Teaching Hospital, Calabar; I went to see the victims this morning and will please beg that we all rally round and see how we can be of help to mother and daughter who are presently unable to afford the medical bill.
CAN WE DO SOMETHING FAST TO SAVE THEM?
