The Nigerian lady with user, @simi_sophia took to the popular social media platform to called out the Instagram models for deceiving young girls. She wrote;
“Most instagram models are sex workers.
Prostitutes, strippers, cam girls, escorts, sugar babys etc.
Promoting slim tea & Fashion Nova alone isn’t gonna sponsor trips to Bali & The Maldives on expensive yatches regularly.”
The Tweet drew many reactions, with people calling her out for attacking IG models, she replied that she is not against either sex workers or the models, but the pretense. She wrote;
Just be honest & stop deceiving young girls please.
I really don’t know how y’all concluded that I’m shaming instagram models or sex workers.
If you wanna do sex work, fine. But be honest about it & stop giving people, especially young girls, false hope that being popular on instagram automatically gives you that lifestyle.”
You’re not entitled to enter my mentions either, but here you are.
No, it’s not normal to not be open about what you do for a living.
I’m not even against sex work, just own up to it.
You’ll only have a problem revealing your source of income if you’re ashamed or are into illegal business(es).
It’s only fair that people will at least be curious about how you can live like that coz they want that life too.
What’s the point if you can’t own up to it?
