The Genk forward, Moses Simon, had admitted he would like to play in the Premier League, amid speculations linking him with Liverpool. The 22-year-old was back to full fitness, after being dropped from the Super Eagles squad to the 2018 World Cup.
His baby’s birth is coming few days after KAA Gent, the Belgian club of Nigerian winger, declared that he must leave the club this summer. Moses was told to look for another club before the transfer window closes later this month, or rot in the reserves.
Belgian newspaper, Het Laatste Nieuws reports that Moses is no longer needed in Gent’s first team, which contains 38 players. The Super Eagles star is said to be the architect of his own problem as he had earlier approached Gent board and demanded he wanted to be transferred this summer. With his absence at the 2018 World Cup due to injury, he is lacking genuine suitors despite reports linking him with English Premier League and German teams.
He had also disclosed that still remains a KAA Gent player, despite interest from the Liverpool prior to the World Cup. The footballer who missed FIFA World Cup in Russia due to injury, said he is looking forward to a more explosive season regardless of where he plays next season.
“Well, for now, I’m still a player of KAA Gent; obviously, there was interest from Liverpool but nothing is concrete for now.
“I’m currently in Holland with the rest of the squad and we are getting ready for the new season. We have a game against PAOK in two days; hopefully, I might play in that one,” Simon revealed.
