Here is the moment about 256 Nigerians evacuated from Dubai arrived the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos at about 7.40 pm, last night.
The passengers came on board an Emirates B777 aircraft. They were kept in the aircraft for about 30 minutes before disembarking as officials of the Port health, Immigration, FAAN, and other security agencies were on ground to receive them.
Journalists were, however, not allowed to go near the tarmac as the passengers disembarked.
This is the first batch of Nigerians been repatriated back home as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama, confirmed their arrival.
“The flight conveying 256 Nigerians evacuated from Dubai has landed Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos,” he said.
