Miss Jamaica, Toni-Ann Singh, has been crowned winner of Miss World 2019 in London, today 14th of December, 2019.
Toni-Ann Singh who was crowned Miss Jamaica World competed with 113 other contestants from around the world at the 69th edition of the Miss World 2019 pageant in London.
She becomes the fourth Jamaican beauty queen to win the title — Carole Joan Crawford in 1963, Cindy Breakspeare in 1976 and Lisa Hanna in 1993.
Singh, became top 40 after she won the talent competition at the “Beauty with a Purpose” Gala Dinner in London, which led her to advanced to the final round of the competition along with Miss Nigeria, Miss Brazil, Miss India and Miss France.
In addition to dancing to Jamaican singer Koffee’s Toast, she also performed her version of Whitney Houston’s “I Have Nothing” live.
Miss India, Suman Rao, came in third place while Ophely Mezino of France was first runner-up in the pageant.
