The Ministry of Communications has had a name change.
The Federal Executive Council on Wednesday presided over by Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, approved the name change for the Ministry of Communications to Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy.
The decision was communicated in a post on Twitter by the personal assistant to the President Muhammadu Buhari, Bashir Ahmad.
“The Federal Executive Council has approved the change of name for Ministry of Communications, now to be called Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy.”

Photos of Nigerian businesses burnt in fresh attacks in South Africa
There have been reports of fresh xenophobic attacks on Nigerian businesses in South African and photos have emerged to prove the allegation.
An update on the recent attack which started in the early hours of Tuesday October 22, at different locations of Witbank, Mpumanlaga Province of South Africa revealed that 5 Nigerian-owned business outlets were burnt down by the group made up of community members and taxi drivers.
Some Nigerian-owned business outlets burnt and looted in the fresh attack include a big spare parts dealership, two restaurants, a grocery shop and a Nigerian foodstuffs shop. SEE MORE PHOTOS HERE
