Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil has shared how he made a Kenyan boy happy after he discovered how the boy craved to have his jersey.
A Twitter user had drawn the attention of the German after he tweeted about the boy whom he saw herding cows while wearing a shirt in the colors of Arsenal’s jersey. On the back of the shirt is Mesut Ozil’s name and shirt number written in ink.
“I saw this kid today grazing in the streets of Nairobi – a city without really grass for cows. He told me he loves @MesutOzil1088 so much(You can see his shirt). Maybe one day this can reach Ozil and get a real @Arsenal shirt”, the man tweeted.
When the tweet got to Mesut Ozil, he not only retweeted by also sent some of his shirts to the Kenyan boy.
“The picture of a Kenyan boy with a self made shirt on Twitter touched me so much. And look at Lawrence now – it’s so heartwarming to see him and his brothers happy #SocialMediaPower #HappyToAssist #Nairobi #M1Ö”, Mesut Ozil tweeted.
