Barcelona forward, Lionel Messi, has for the first time in a long while admitted that his rival club, Real Madrid is one of the best in the world.
This is coming after Messi’s rival, Cristiano Ronaldo left Spain to Italian side, Juventus in the summer transfer window.
Messi names his Barcelona side and Madrid as the clubs capable of accommodation big players in terms of finance and success.
The £365,000 a week Argentine player says money now rules the game of football which in his opinion, Barcelona and Madrid can boast of.
He said big players only end up going to where money is so as to be fulfilled.
Meanwhile, Messi has not been heard issuing comments on Madrid especially with the presence of Ronaldo who has been his career rival.
Both players for several years contested the world footballer of the year award and the contest resulted in lots of arguments between their fans and on the the media sphere.
Although, both players did not live to expectation at the just concluded World Cup in Russia, Ronaldo has been favoured ahead of Messi for the 2018 player of the year with the Barcelona star missing out of the final three.
Ronaldo’s exit from the Spanish league is believed to have calmed the nerves of the Argentine who is gradually missing out of the competition.
