Melissa Mingle Kingsport death after Nathaniel White Young attack

Melissa Mingle Kingsport: Melissa Mingle death happened after she was violently attacked by her ex-boyfriend and son’s father Nathaniel White Young.

The attack happened in Melissa’s home in Colonial Heights. She died after being in ICU at Holston Valley Hospital, fighting for her life.

Melissa Mingle’s 3 year old son Landon who was missing after the attack has been returned to the family and Nathaniel White Young captured by police.

Sullivan County, TN Sheriff’s Office confirmed on their Facebook page that Nathaniel White-Young, age 30, of Kingsport, has been captured. Investigators have charged him with attempted first degree murder and aggravated arson.

Nathaniel allegedly beat up Melissa “Missy” Mingle and took their son.

Melissa’s brother Michael Mingle confirmed she was in ICU in a post on Facebook:

Urgent Prayers needed!! My sister, Melissa Mingle is in ICU at Holston Valley Hospital after a violent attack at her home today. My nephew, Landon White-Young is missing. My sister is on life support and we suspect that her ex-boyfriend and Landon’s father is the suspect.
