The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle has been spotted for the first time since she and her husband Prince Harry announced they would “step back” from ther roles as senior Royals.
This is the first time Meghan Markle who was seen smiling on Tuesday was seen leaving the palatial $14million Canadian home where she has been with her son since last week.
Meghan was seen leaving the Vancouver Island ocean-side mansion before boarding a seaplane which took her to a women’s shelter in Canada’s poorest neighborhood.
The Duchess of Sussex looked happy as she laughed with her security team before boarding the seaplane for the mainland after which she made a surprise visit to the Downtown Eastside Women’s Center in Vancouver to “offer support” and to “boost the staff’s spirits”.
Downtown Eastside Women’s Center shelter in Vancouver, which provides counselling, hot meals, and basic needs for women and children in need, took to their social media page to share a picture of Meghan at the centre with a group of eight women, which they captioned;
“Look who we had tea with today!
“The Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, visited us today to discuss issues affecting women in the community.”
She was said to have spent time with managers in the shelter and staff member were not aware of her visit until she arrived.
