An inquest heard at Teeside Coroner’s Court that Jordan had been out with friends when the tragedy occurred. After going to the house of one of his friend’s parents, Jordan told them he was wearing a “stab-proof vest.”

His friends had reported he stabbed himself to death after he was taken to the hospital, but an investigation was set up into the matter.

“Jordan was in the kitchen and had called everyone’s attention to himself and then claiming the vest he was wearing was stab-proof and that he was going to proof it to us. We had tried to dissuade him from doing it, but he insisted giving us the assurance that everything was going to be okay. Only for the sad incident to occur” a friend said to the jury

Teesside assistant coroner Karin Welsh said:

“While in the kitchen, he took hold a knife to demonstrate it was stab-proof and sadly realised it wasn’t the case.”

Jordan was rushed to the University Hospital of North Tees, in Stockton, said the coroner, but “despite the best efforts of the medical professionals, they were unable to save him.”
