Man exposes alleged human rights violation at Garki Police Station, Abuja

A man has taken to twitter to expose an alleged violation of human rights at the Garki Police Station in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

The man identified as Henry Greg wrote that officers from the Police Station raided his area in Garki and his sales girls was among the people apprehended.

He had to go to the Police station to secure her bail and was dumbfounded by what he saw over there.

According to him, one of the boys apprehended was being assaulted by the officers just because he asked what his offence was. The boy was later handcuffed as he alleged and from a photo he posted on twitter, the boy could be seen bound with chains and made to sleep on the bare floor.

The man wrote:

There was a raid @ area 1 garki, my sales girls and passersbys were arrested. getting there I saw a case of human rights violation. The guy kept asking what his crime was but was met with kicks and slaps and then he was handcuffed. Garki police station. something needs to be done
