A man who allegedly works for the Rebuild Imo Government died trying to dismantle the iron bars for beautification of the city by the Rescue Mission Government.
According to reports, the man on Thursday fell from the iron bar while trying to dismantle it and died instantly.
The bars were put up during the tenure of Rochas Okorocha as the Governor of Imo State. The state which is now being governed by Emeka Ihedioha has been undergoing series of reform after the present administration claimed Rochas Okorocha’s tenure crippled the state for eight years.
Although Okorocha claims Ihedioha is only trying to destroy his legacy, the present administration claims they have recovered 70 vehicles, N1bn properties which were stolen movable assets belonging to the Imo State.
Jasper Ndubuaku, the governor’s aide said the committee was not on a witch-hunt as being alleged by the immediate past governor of the state, Rochas Okorocha as the committee equally recovered some of the properties from the former aides and appointees of Okorocha.
