The Edo State Police Command has arrested a 37-year-old man identified as Okafor, for reportedly abducting and hypnotizing a 13-year-old girl in Sango Ota, Ogun State.

The girl will be reportedly handed over to the Ogun state police command for further investigation and a possible reunion with her family, as reported by crime correspondent, Festus Alenkhe.

He wrote;

‘News update: A 13 year old girl allegedly abducted in sango ota ,Ogun state has been rescued in Benin city by men of the Edo state police command. Crime correspondent Festus Alenkhe reports that a 35 year old man identified as Okafor alleged to have brought her to Edo state is now in police custody. As at press time , the young girl has not been reunited with her family as she was said to have been hypnotised by her abductor. Recall that yesterday, we reported that a Self acclaimed Apostle and founder of defunct Paul Zion Deliverance Ministry, Asaba, Paul, was arrested for raping a 21-year-old girl identified as Esther he abducted and kept captive in his shop where he sold scriptural items in the shop after hypnotizing her, just opposite a parish of the Living Faith Church Worldwide (Winners Chapel) on Ibusa Road, for about one week.

The Apostle who was arrested on Thursday, reportedly abducted Esther when she attended a vigil at the Living Faith Church with her family members on Friday, January 12. Punch reports that a friend of the victim’s brother had reportedly gone to buy something at Paul’s shop on Thursday, when he sighted her and informed the family.

The victim’s brother who disclosed that Esther was taken to the police clinic at Asaba, where a test carried out on her confirmed that she was raped, further said;

“My sister is a special child. She had convulsion while she was young and it affected her. She can’t read and write. When we got there, we discovered that the man had bought new clothes for her. .
.
She had been hypnotised and refused to follow us. Later, she said the man made her to swear with a Bible that she would not leave him and that if she did, she would die. He should be in his 50s. .
.
We learnt that he chased away his wife and children a long time ago.”
