Mac Miller’s death has caused legal issues he was set to face, including a DUI case, to be dismissed.
In May 2018, Mac was arrested after he smashed his G-Wagon into an utility pole in the San Fernando Valley.
Mac had walked away from the accident as he wasn’t seriously hurt, even though video of the aftermath showed how bad the crash was. However, cops arrested him later after tracking him down at his home. Miller was charged with a DUI that allegedly caused the car accident.
He was supposed to be arraigned this Tuesday in an L.A. courtroom. But TMZ reports law enforcement sources say the City Attorney’s Office will officially drop the charges against Mac.Tuesday as he cannot appear.
Mac Miller has been removed from the docket and the official documents stipulating the dismissal of his case will be filed later. This is all part of the usual legal formality in the event of a deceased suspect.
We’re told it’s been taken off the docket and official paperwork will soon be filed.
The cause of Mac Miller’s death has yet to be confirmed. An autopsy has been carried out but Los Angeles County coroner says more tests are needed to determine the cause of his death.
Investigators have released Mac Miller’s body to his family.
