Hours after Mac Miller died of an apparent overdose, Ariana Grande has been forced to disable the comment section on her entire Instagram account, on every one of her posts.
This is because she has been subject to vile abuse from Instagram users.
After news broke of Mac Miller’s death, people took to Ariana’s account to send her hateful comments.
Mac Miller and Ariana Grande’s relationship:
Before Ariana met her now-fiancè Pete Davidson, she and Mac Miller had an off-on relationship with the pair only recently reuniting and splitting again.
Mac Miller battled substance abuse issues for years. And Ariana made it clear his substance abuse was a deal breaker in their 2-year relationship after it sadly crashed.
The rapper wrecked his G-Wagon by wrapping it around a utility pole back in May and was arrested for DUI and hit and run. He fled the scene but cops say he later confessed at his home. He blew 2 times the legal limit.
Some people blamed Ariana for Mac’s DUI, and she responded,
“I am not a babysitter or a mother and no woman should feel that they need to be. I have cared for him and tried to support his sobriety & prayed for his balance for years.” She added, “Of course I didn’t share about how hard or scary it was while it was happening but it was.”
Before his death, Mac Miller spoke about Ariana & Pete Davidson’s engagement and he had nothing but a positive light:
“The whole thing is a little strange but it’s not negative […] I am happy for her and moving forward with her life just as I’m sure she is with me”
That didn’t stop individuals to unfairly target Ariana in regards to Mac’s death.
One user wrote, “This is your fault’ with another branding her a ‘lowkey devil’. This was enough for Ariana to cut out comments completely.

Ariana has just turned off her Instagram comments but before that I've read some of the most vilest stuff. People are so mean.

It’s sad that Ariana had to disable her comments because people were going to her page blaming her for this. She’s probably devastated, people are so sick

The people harassing Ariana make no f*cking sense, do you know how traumatizing it is to be told you’re responsible for someone’s death? What if she did something to hurt herself because of those comments? I hope you’d be okay with people harassing YOU for being responsible
