Lekki hospital denied me treatment after payment – AY’s wife, Mabel

Wife of the popular Nigerian comedian and actor AY, Mabel, has shared her bitter experience at a Lekki hospital.

Lekki hospital denied me treatment after payment – AY’s wife, Mabel

While reacting to a viral video of a woman who alleged that her child was denied treatment at the Igando General hospital, Lagos, Mabel said she checked into the hospital to treat a critical ailment and surprisingly they refused to treat her just because her payment had not reflected at a section of the hospital

She claimed that payment had been confirmed at a unit while they even issued receipt to her already

She wrote;

Too bad. Had same expereience with a well known Hospital in Lekki. They said I must make payment before treatment and immediately i did. I got an alert, they gave me a receipt at the reception for treatment, I got upstairs for treatment and was refused treatment because they said my payment was only reflecting downstairs but not their system upstairs. Guess what? I was in mad pain in my chest. I had to leave for another hospital. A lot of hospitals in Nigeria needs to be shut down, most doctors in Nigeria do not value human lives.

  1. When you do call outs like this, kindly help by mentioning the name of the hospital so that we all will decide whether to use them or dump them. By not mentioning the name of the hospital, you have just given them another chance of exploiting another innocent citizen. What if the next person don’t have enough funds to visit another hospital or what if the next person will not live to do a similar post like this? Something is really wrong with us in this country, and the solution should start from every individual.
