The Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed on Thursday, November 19, has reacted to an investigative report on the shooting of EndSARS protesters at Lekki toll gate on Tuesday, October 20.
Lai Mohammed described the report as one-dimensional and lacking in balance but validated a report done by the BBC, which he claimed had more on facts.
The Minister demanded the added the sanctioning of CNN for misinformation and irresponsible reporting.
He insisted that the military fired blank bullets into the air and not at the crowd, while saying that the previous report done by CNN lacked bases.
However, he urged that victims of the alleged Lekki massacres, as well as families with missing persons reports should report to the judiciary panel for official complaints.
He also stated that CNN report excluded the looting, violence, 269 private facilities burnt and looted, 243 government facilities vandalized.
Meanwhile, he said that security operatives deserve commendation and not condemnation.
