An agreement was reached between the Normalization Committee and the National Women’s League clubs on February 19, 2019. The Special Competition will kick off on March 9 at various venues.

Speaking on Happy FM, Fainusatu, the team manager of prison Ladies FC said:

“Inactive football brings a lot of problems. Some players are engaged in many social vices because they are not actively playing so we are excited by the return of football”, she stated.

“We are grateful to the Normalization committee for their decision to organize this special competition for us to be active and fit again”

“Two of our players are heavily pregnant and one is pregnant but not visible.

“One of them is married and the others are engaged so I am not saying that pregnancy and giving birth is not good but because they are grown-ups”

“I believe if we were playing football they won’t get pregnant now. They might actually decide to give birth later”, she added

  9. You can’t tell one when to get pregnant , football or no football . What if now was the opportunity they saw to become pregnant and put the career on a little hold.

  10. Football or not if they decide to marry its their decision, and if they decide to hold off marriage for some time its also their business

  11. It is still blessing in disguise. If you bear the children and if lucky enough it is a male child. Then footballer is born.

  12. So all of us should be playing foot ball . All because of what? Abeg go and sit down if you don’t have anything to say.
