Korra Obidi, the Nigerian dancer who was in the news few weeks ago after she claimed that she was assaulted by SARS officer, has been trolled on by social media users after she shared a semi-nude video of herself dancing in a cave.
Some of the troll comments were on her not understanding what being civilized means, having an ugly body, horrible pant marks and being possessed. However her husband who defended her, asked these ‘keyboard warriors’, to chill and focus on their own lives.
Here are some of the exchanges below;
Korra Obidi (born Anita Obidi Korra June 23, 1991) is a Nigerian musician, professional dancer, model and actress from Delta State. Born a Princess from Oshimili North of Delta state, Nigeria, she had a very conservative childhood. She began singing and dancing in church, which then became the foundation for her career in the entertainment industry.
In October 2015, Obidi debuted on the music scene with the release of her first single “Man Like You”. Following the success of her debut single, she released her debut EP Woman Power. She released a world cup song “Africa” in December 2017.
She had before now, penned down a lovely birthday message to her husband. It reads;
Many tried, many failed
To capture my forlorn heart
You didn’t try, you gently sailed,
Took my pride and ripped it apart
I prayed for you at a temple in Thames
Was alone and needed some love
You came, a swipe right through names
Like a special present from above
How do you get me better than me?
Know my needs before they be?
Complete my soul, energise my being?
Excavate my raw, produce the finest me?
I will love you till the end of time
I will wait a million years
Promise you’ll remember that you’re mine
Promise you’ll stick through the tears
White and black and shades of Grey
The love we share will never fray
And when it’s time for old and grey
I’ll know I loved true love till grave
