3 students of the Kogi state University, KSU, Ayingba have allegedly been killed by armed men suspected to be cultists on Friday.
The cult clash and killing of 3 students in Kogi state university allegedly started after a cult kingpin from Kogi state polytechnic, Lokoja was killed.
According to reports, the cult group found out the kingpin was killed by members of a cult group in KSU and decided to retaliate the killing. Some of the killings were said to have taken place at the Stadium Road and Our Lady Fatima lodge.
A 300 level student of the Department of Education in the school identified as Justice Keke Adawodi was one of the students killed.
Confirming the reports, Kogi State Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Busari, said only three students were killed and not 13 as reported in the media and arrests were yet to be made but detectives were on the trail of the killers.
A social media user, Olowosaga Ayodel took to his social media page to share his grief. He said;
With great sorrow and grief I announce the sad demise of two ijumi sons, who were murered.
